macOS Tahoe 26.4.1 is a small bug-fix release targeted at the new M5-powered MacBooks. It is recommended for everyone running 26.4 even if you are not on an M5 model, as it also includes the cumulative security content from 26.4.

Primary Fix

• 802.1X Wi-Fi: Resolves an issue where the M5 MacBook Air and M5 Pro / M5 Max MacBook Pro could fail to join 802.1X Wi-Fi networks while a content filter extension was active. This affected users on enterprise and university networks.

Other Notes

• No new user-facing features beyond the fix above
• Carries forward all 26.4 security content
• No separate security advisory was issued; Apple lists "this update has no published CVE entries"

What's Next

Apple is currently testing macOS Tahoe 26.5 with developers, with the fourth beta seeded on April 27, 2026. Public release is expected in late May 2026, ahead of WWDC 2026 (June 8–12), where Apple is expected to unveil macOS 27.
