If Mail search isn't showing all results after updating, try these fixes:
- Rebuild the Mail index by quitting Mail, then holding Option while opening Mail
- Select "Rebuild" when prompted
- If that doesn't work, try deleting the Mail index files manually
- Wait for the reindexing process to complete (can take several hours for large mailboxes)
If the Photos app is still performing slowly after this update:
- Rebuild the Photos library by holding Option+Command while opening Photos
- Select "Repair Library" from the menu that appears
- Wait for the repair process to complete
- Consider splitting very large libraries into smaller ones for better performance
